If you go to to the "about me" section of the blog, you will read that a big purpose of this blog is to re-brand myself.
"Now Palace, how do you plan on doing that?"
Thank you for asking, oh kind reader. I'm going into my junior year of my undergraduate career, and it is planning out to be a very important year that plays a major role in my life, or that's at least what my horoscope is telling me. And because of this, and the up and coming events that I have in store for this next school year, I've decided to make myself play a game of bingo for this academic school year.
Now when I say bingo, I used it in the sense of planning out what my year will look like, as well as goal-setting for the academic school year. On my card I have spaces that mention one of my academic goals to get onto the Dean's List with straight A's, another goal is to obtain over 100 community service hours, I even put my 21st birthday on the card as a space. I don't know why I did because I won't be really posting anything but birthday photos, but I really will be like this the whole day.
But how do I plan on tracking it? The main location for tracking my progress was Instagram, but I've always wanted to start a blog and determined that this would be the best time to do it. Both with hold me accountable for doing the other and in turn I'll have a full blog and an amazing Instagram page to boot.
If you want to join in with me on this challenge, whether it be your freshman year or your first year out of school, here's how you can do it. I'm attaching a link to a bingo cord template that I created, but customize it to the feel and personality of your personal brand and define it with who you are. Each circle should be filled with a goal or aspiration that you have for the school year, or whatever you're tracking. And there is a highlight cover for each of the nine aspirations or goals that you have set for yourself.
When you put it all together, you should post the highlights and the bingo card to your story, and highlight them to stay pinned to your Instagram page, and when you go in to edit your highlight, you can change the cover photo to that of your created highlight cover.
I'm still tying up loose ends to my bingo card by adding and taking away aspirations, which I encourage everyone to do, so that my card can be completed and not go to waste. The overall purpose of the bingo game is to be full of goals and aspirations that you are confident that will come true. The point is for you to highlight your moment of growth and the things you get to experience and learn throughout the year.
If you want to hold me accountable for this school year, or see what I can accomplish on my bingo card, follow me on Instagram @royally_palace. I'll relaunch my Instagram with the advertisement of my blog and the purpose of my bingo card.
Here's an example of a bingo card, and the goal/aspiration highlight.
It's currently 3 in the morning and I'm going to be like this when it's time to get up and moving, so good night y'all.
